Story
In the 2008 AFCON match between Egypt and Sudan, Abo Trika secured Egypt's victory by scoring the second and third goals. After his second goal, he revealed an undershirt with "Sympathize with Gaza" written on it, sparking significant controversy. The CAF (African Football Federation) initially decided to disqualify Egypt from the tournament due to this political statement. However, this decision led to a backlash from other African countries, who threatened to boycott the tournament if Egypt was disqualified. Egypt would go on and win their 6th AFCON.
